Prerequireties

No prior knowledge of SEO is required for this course. However, it is recommended that you have a basic understanding of HTML and CSS.

Course Outline

Week 1:

Introduction to SEO, On-site optimization techniques, and basic design concepts with HTML and CSS

Week 2:

On-page optimization strategies, setting up Google Analytics, and off-site optimization techniques such as directory and article submissions

Week 3:

Off-site optimization techniques continued, social networking, blog, and forum posting

Week 4:

Social book marketing, analytics, and AdSense, CMS technologies such as WordPress

Week 5:

White, Black, and Gray Hat SEO techniques, SEO project planning and binding

Week 6:

Keyword planning and research, SEO expert, and webmaster roles and responsibilities.
