Prerequireties

To enroll in the Android Edge course, learners must have a basic understanding of programming concepts and familiarity with any programming language. They should also have an understanding of the Windows operating system and knowledge of databases.

Course Outline

The Android Edge course is a 2-month program that consists of weekly 3 lectures and 3 labs. The course covers the following topics:
. Activities, fragments, and intents: Understanding activities, fragments, and intents in Android programming
. Android user interface: Designing user interface with view, displaying pictures and menus, and using styles and themes
. Data persistence: Understanding data persistence in Android programming, including SQL and content providers
. Sending e-mail and SMS messaging: Handling sending and receiving e-mail and SMS messages
. Device handling: Handling device-specific features in Android programming, such as sensors and cameras
. Location-based services: Understanding location-based services in Android programming
. Publishing Android applications: Understanding the process of publishing Android applications on the Google Play Store
. Debugging: Understanding the process of debugging Android applications
. Android emulator: Understanding the usage of Android emulator
. IDE (Android Studio): Understanding the usage of Android Studio and other Android tools
